Automation of pallet strapping in a food warehouse
International distribution warehouse for a supermarket chain, more than 10,000 m² of warehouse space. In food logistics, packaging speed and reliability play a key role. The client handled a large volume of pallets on a daily basis, which were strapped by hand. This led to slower processes and physical overload for the employees. Strapping 300 pallets a day by hand caused inefficiencies, inaccuracies and made it difficult to dispatch smoothly during peak times.
The aim of the project was to deliver a fully automatic horizontal strapping machinetailored to the client’s needs. The machine was fully integrated into the existing packaging line.
