Wooden prism bales under control
A long-established manufacturer of sawn timber and wooden prisms with distribution throughout the EU, they ship dozens of pallets of various lengths of prisms every day, with an emphasis on speed of packing and protection of the product in transit. The customer was hand-wrapping the bales in stretch wrap, which was inefficient, time-consuming and caused damage to the goods in the event of inclement weather. The packaging often came loose or tore during loading.
We installed a semi-automatic horizontal WR packaging machine with conveyor system for packaging long items. We added printed film for better manufacturer identification and marketing effect.
