ECO-FRIENDLY ADHESIVE TAPE
Paper adhesive tape with water-activated adhesive allows direct recycling of cardboard thanks to the 100% natural starch-based adhesive, so the tape does not need to be removed from the cardboard before recycling. In addition, the paper tape is extremely strong and once the tape is peeled off, it cannot be glued back on, making it easy to detect damaged packaging in transit.

Eco-friendly packaging in foil
Can stretch wrapping be environmentally friendly? Definitely yes!
Stretch film belongs to the category of polypropylene plastics, the recycling of which is considerably easier than that of paper. The essential condition for recycling stretch film is that no adhesive tape must be applied to the film during packaging to prevent direct recycling.
Packing the shipment in stretch film
However, by using the correct packaging technique, additional fixing of the film with adhesive tape is not necessary, as the film itself has sufficient adhesive properties when stretched and subsequently shrunk. The resulting packaging is thus sufficiently compact and rigid.

Stretch film is environmentally friendly and brings new packaging options with an emphasis on sustainability. The production of such film often uses recycled materials or biodegradable ingredients, reducing the impact on nature. In addition, its high strength allows the amount of material used to be minimised, leading to a reduction in waste.

Ecological filling material
Easily storable and easily recyclable filler
As a filler for storing and fixing the product in the carton, it is ecologically and efficiently advisable to choose air cushions, which are made of HDPE (polyethylene film) and can be recycled in a similarly simple way as stretch film.
A great advantage is the space-saving storage – the film in a roll in an uninflated state takes up a minimum of space. Using the powerful AIRFIT 12, the operator produces the necessary amount of filling when completing a specific shipment.

Recyclable binding tapes
For environmentally friendly and recyclable strapping it is possible to use PP and PET strapping tapes, which are suitable for direct recycling when joined by vibration welding. For the processing and easy storage of PP and PET tape waste, it is possible to use a tape chopper.
A new innovation in packaging materials is paper binding tape, which is an ideal alternative to PP tape and its waste can be recycled as paper. Paper tape is joined by heat welding, which makes it suitable for use with semi-automatic and automatic strapping machines – for example, TRANSPAK strapping machines from our range.
